A covert government team is assembled comprising individuals who possess extraordinary neurological abilities — ranging from enhanced senses to superhuman strength — and who are tasked with investigating crimes that may themselves involve people with similar powers. The group is guided by psychiatrist Dr. Lee Rosen, who works to manage both the team's internal tensions and its uneasy relationship with government oversight. As cases grow more complex, the team uncovers a broader conflict involving a shadowy organisation of alphas with hostile intentions towards ordinary humanity.
