A biographical television drama following the life of Giovanni Battista Montini, who rose through the ranks of the Catholic Church to become Pope Paul VI. The production explores his spiritual journey, his role during the tumultuous Second Vatican Council, and the profound challenges he faced in modernising the Church whilst preserving its traditions. His deeply held convictions are tested against the political and moral upheavals of the twentieth century.
