A group of oil rig workers off the coast of Louisiana find themselves under attack from a mysterious creature that has emerged from the ocean depths following an unusual storm. As the crew becomes stranded on the isolated platform with no means of escape or outside communication, they must band together to survive against the relentless predator picking them off one by one.
