Two Dutch detectives with contrasting personalities — the stolid, methodical Grijpstra and the more impulsive, free-spirited De Gier — investigate a series of criminal cases in Amsterdam. The series follows their often comedic working relationship as they navigate the city's underworld, guided by their eccentric commissaris. Based on Janwillem van de Wetering's popular Dutch crime novels, the television series blends dry humour with procedural detective work.
