A television film adapted from the popular non-fiction book by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard, tracing the life of Jesus of Nazareth from his early years through his ministry and growing influence in Roman-occupied Judaea. Political and religious authorities, threatened by his expanding following and radical teachings, conspire to bring about his arrest and execution. The story is told with particular attention to the historical and political forces surrounding Jesus, portraying figures such as Herod, Pontius Pilate, and Caiaphas alongside the central narrative of crucifixion.
