A remote Yugoslav army outpost on the Albanian border becomes the setting for an absurd and darkly comic tale when soldiers discover that a mule has swallowed a large sum of money. The men's attempts to recover the cash expose the petty rivalries, ambitions, and moral compromises lurking beneath the surface of military life. The situation spirals into chaos as greed and bureaucratic absurdity collide in equal measure.
