A devout Orthodox monk, Nektarios of Aegina, faces relentless persecution and slander from church officials and rivals throughout his life, yet continues to serve humbly among the sick, the poor, and those seeking spiritual guidance. Despite being repeatedly exiled and stripped of his position, he maintains his faith and eventually establishes a convent on the island of Aegina. The film follows his journey from seminary student to canonised saint, framing his suffering as inseparable from his holiness.
