A mother becomes desperate when her teenage daughter falls under the influence of a manipulative religious sect, drawing her deeper into a world the family struggles to penetrate. As the young girl grows increasingly estranged from her home life, her mother fights to reclaim their relationship and pull her back from the group's grip. The film explores the psychological hold such organisations can exert on vulnerable young people and the lengths a parent will go to in order to protect their child.
