Based on a non-fiction book by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard, this television film traces the final weeks of the American Civil War alongside the conspiracy that led to Abraham Lincoln's assassination at Ford's Theatre in 1865. The story follows John Wilkes Booth's plotting and the broader web of co-conspirators who targeted not only Lincoln but other senior government figures. The aftermath of the assassination and the hunt for those responsible is also depicted.
